It is with great pleasure that Excellence Sportive de l’île de Montréal (ESIM) announces the hiring of Caroline Calvé as Head of Services for Athletes and Training Groups. Caroline has now taken over the position held by Mélanie Lacroix during the first five years of ESIM’s existence and left vacant since her departure last July.
The Olympian who took part in the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Games in snowboarding has had the opportunity in recent years of working with several sports organizations. In fact, most recently, the former athlete worked for the Charitable organization Fast and Female and was also a member of the AthletesCAN Board of Directors, the National Team Athlete Association.
As an athlete myself I evolved and went through the same stages of athletic development as the athletes I will be pleased to serve as part of this new professional challenge. This is a chance for me to give back to the Montreal sports community through a position that I consider important for young athletes, but also for the sports clubs and associations of the Island of Montreal. “Said Caroline Calvé.
For his part, ESIM’s General Manager, Laurier Thériault, welcomes the arrival of Caroline Calvé within the team.
Her experience as a high-level athlete combined with her energy make her a great asset for ESIM. Caroline brings with her an expertise that will undoubtedly serve well our mission of sports development throughout the Montreal territory. “
Over the next few weeks, the new Head of Services for Athletes and Training Groups will meet several ESIM supported clubs and athletes. Please take note of Caroline’s contact information : firstname.lastname@example.org and 514-872-1982.
